Fighting with Jeff and Brian.
Thoughts of Dustin still make me smile.
Anything with Bartek is at a standstill.
Breathe- Anberlin
Hello again.
Didn’t get the EOC job.
Didn’t get the apartment with Jaima.
I met a gentlemen named Donovan that was different than any other guy I’ve ever dated. He told me I was just another “troublesome woman”. I don’t miss him as much anymore.
I met a kid named Dustin that made my heart beat fast than any other kid. He found a girl that was meant for him. I still miss him.
Then there’s Bartek. So much more mature than I thought. I still don’t know what to do. I feel…awkward about the whole thing. Like I’m about to screw up again. It seems like the same road all over again. Why do I get stuck in these weird relationship things. D:
Motherfucker.
McDonald’s! Let’s get this shit done.
Sam started working with me. :3 (I’ve also started cleaning Jeff and Brian’s apartment.)
OH.
It still miffs me that they changed plans for the apartment so quickly, but living with Jeff would be…painful.o-o;
Plans!
Get the EOC job. September we ask about the apartment. January 3rd. 3200 First- 1000 Last- 1000 Deposit- 1000 Comcast- 100 Electric- 100 Then it’s 605 per person per month. New Car. All that jazz.

The Expectation of Marriage
In a normal marriage, partners are expected to hold up the sanctity of marriage. This involves the traditional vows: to love, comfort, honor and keep. In Williams “The Use of Force”, however, the heroine, Mrs. Mallard, suffers an internal conflict as she finds she’s overjoyed her husband has died. She’s so overcome by the thought of being “free”, “free body and soul”, that the “storm of grief” she’s briefly overtaken by, quickly dissipates. However, although Mrs. Mallard can be seen as a villainous protagonist when she feels such a “monstrous joy”, it also can be said that she is a quiet heroine for suffering through an imprisoned relationship during a time in history where she may have had no other option.
It cannot be seen, cannot be felt,
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt.
It lies behind stars and under hills,
And empty holes it fills.
It comes first and follows after,
Ends life, kills laughter
I have many tongues but cannot taste
By me, most things are turned to waste
I crack and snap, yet I stay whole
I may take the largest toll
I assisted all of the first men
And I will pay them back again
Around me, people snuggle and sleep
Yet run when I am released from my keep
I jump around and leap and bound
The cold man wishes I he had found
A box without hinges, key, or lid,
Yet golden treasure inside is hid.
Alive without breath,
As cold as death;
Never thirsty, ever drinking,
All in mail never clinking.
Of no use to one
Yet absolute bliss to two.
The small boy gets it for nothing.
The young man has to lie for it.
The old man has to buy it.
The baby’s right,
The lover’s privilege,
The hypocrite’s mask.
To the young girl, faith;
To the married woman, hope;
To the old maid, charity.
Ten fish I caught without an eye,
and nine without a tail.
Half of eight, and six missing heads,
landed in my pail.
Who can tell me,
as I ask it,
how many fish are in my basket?
NAME: A Roleplaying Trap
LOCATION TYPE: Room
CONTEXT: A rusty lever protrudes from the far wall. Overhead, a tremendous
block of iron hangs from a cable.
TRIGGER TYPE: mechanical
TRIGGER: pulling lever
EFFECT TYPE: mechanical
EFFECT: The GM should listen to the characters’ debate about what to do. If
they decide to pull the lever for reasons such as “To leave no stone
unturned” then pulling the lever opens a secret door. If they decide to
pull the lever “Just for the hell of it” then pulling the lever will drop
the block, crushing all in the room.
NAME: Deadly Spikes
LOCATION TYPE: Room
CONTEXT: The floor is covered with 2 inches of dust; there is miscellaneous
broken furniture around the room.
TRIGGER TYPE: mechanical
TRIGGER: tripwire or pressure plate
EFFECT TYPE: mechanical
EFFECT: 1D12 spikes, doing 1D10+10 damage each, strike and impale the
character automatically (no dodge or parry). An impaled character can’t get
off the spikes unless helped by another character, or unless s/he can fly
or levitate off.
VARIANTS: If there are other characters, skeletons in the furniture come to
life and attack them.
NAME: The Killer Maypole
LOCATION TYPE: Room
CONTEXT: The party walks into a room with stone walls. In the center of the
room is a metal pole with arms extending from it, near the top. The floor
is shiny and slick with some liquid.
TRIGGER TYPE: mechanical
TRIGGER: Pressure plates in floor inside and outside room detect when the
whole party is inside room (that is, pressure plate outside has nothing on
it, and the one inside has something on it).
EFFECT TYPE: mechanical
EFFECT: The door swings closed. The metal pole begins turning, and the arms
extending from it rub against the wall. More of the liquid is pumped out of
the top of the pole. The pole is made of steel, the walls are flint. The
liquid is oil…. you can guess what happens next.
I saw an advertisement for a flashlight with different kinds of bulbs. There was a bulb specifically for night vision. Silly me, I thought all flashlight bulbs could be used for night vision.
